KIM EARL
Owner/Instructor
Kim is a fully certified advanced level STOTT PILATES™ instructor. Kim began her Pilates training in 2003 at Studio One in Springfield, Missouri. She was introduced to Pilates as a means to relieve stress, neck pain and back pain associated with hours of drive-time spent in the car during her 20-year career as a pharmaceutical representative.
Kim is also trained in Zen-Ga™, Core Barre™, Core Reform™, Juvo Board, Hypervibe and Core Suspend™.
Kim began studying dance at a young age and continued to dance throughout college. Her dance training includes Cecchetti Ballet Method, jazz and tap. While earning her B.S. Degree in Journalism from Oklahoma State University, Kim was employed by the university as an aerobics instructor.
After finding that Pilates training eased her chronic pain and strengthened and stabilized her deep core muscles, Kim dedicated herself to becoming a certified Pilates instructor to help others enjoy the same health benefits.
Kim opened Precision Pilates, LLC in February 2009.
HEATHER FORD
Instructor
"When something changes your life, you want to share it with others."
This is the guiding philosophy that led Heather to become a certified Pilates instructor. Her journey with Pilates began over 10 years ago after a medical diagnosis left her at high risk for bone loss. Heather was advised to start a low-impact, weight-bearing exercise program. She researched and discovered equipment-based Pilates as well as a studio in Joplin offering the method.
Pilates was basically love at first try for her. Although the classes were not easy, they were achievable. She could feel improvement with every class. What began as a physical need, quickly had positive outcomes for her mind and spirit as well.
Heather began her instructor training in 2017 and completed her certification in 2019. Her background is with people. She spent over twenty years in corporate retail management and human resources management. Her career change to teaching Pilates has been more fulfilling and seamless than she expected. Combining her passions for Pilates and people, Heather has found great joy in teaching.
